Advocating for the human rights in China is no longer an activity reserved for a few progressive ordinary citizens. AIUSA often works with politicians to introduce resolutions or Dear Colleague letters in the House of Representatives. Some state departments conduct their own research and release findings and recommendations.

And today, the Comptroller of New York City called on Yahoo! and Google to enforce policies for the protection of freedom of expression on the internet around the world.
