A new report was released by Reporters Without Borders summarizing the various kinds of dangers journalists had dealt with around the world in 2006. The front and center highlight of the report is that 81 journalists were killed last year. Aside from the worst case scenario, over 1,400 media workers were threatened or attacked physically and there were 871 arrests, plus 56 kidnaps. As blogging reached its hype last year, 30 bloggers got arrested.
