The Chinese government is actively rounding up Uighur activists who reside in other countries. The latest victim is businessman Osman Alihan. He is on a wanted list of around 20 Uighurs that China has passed along to Pakistan with demands to the Pakistani authorities to locate and hand over the people on the list. Update (8-12-07): Osman Alihan was forcibly returned to China.  No official information was released from the Chinese or Pakistani authorities on his whereabouts.  He may be at risk of ill-treatment, torture, unfair trial and possibly the death penalty.  An update to his Urgent Action was issued.
